VeraBank Announces 2024 Employee of the Year

HENDERSON, TX – VeraBank is excited to congratulate Tamara Byrdsong as the 2024 “Nelwyn Richardson Employee of the Year” recipient.

Tamara has been employed with the bank since 2013 and serves as the Retail Branch Administrator for the bank. Prior to her promotion to this role, Tamara served as the branch manager for the Longview 4th Street and Lakeport locations.

The Nelwyn Richardson Employee of the Year award highlights an employee's exceptional performance and significant contributions to our bank's success over the past year.

To be considered for the Nelwyn Richardson Employee of the Year award, employees had to have been a VeraBank Employee of the Month Honoree within the respective year.

Tamara is married and has four daughters. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, helping with her daughter’s soccer activities and volunteering with her church.
